Once famous as a silver-mining town, Aspen still has
a working mine on the mountain. The mountain is not for beginners; there
are no green runs. Aspen lends itself to event such as the 24 Hours
of Aspen Ski Race, teams ski around the clock, resting only on the 14
minute lift ride to the top of the course. For other outdoor activities
try dogsledding, snowcat tours, paragliding and many others.

Always known as the mountain town of Hollywood,
many stars come here to escape and not to be seen. Many have been spotted
here, but none are ever bothered. Most locals appreciate their talents
but aren't like the star struck folks that span the world in search of
their idols.

With many events throughout the year,
Aspen Mountain is home to many world events and other more unique races.
While the town of Aspen boasts several comedy festivals, and other posh
gatherings. The true fun is to be had on the mountains.

Scott McBrayer launches off a kicker.
The terrain at Aspen Mountain has an interesting
cross cut feature where some skiers will be challenged skiing the fall
line. All will meet confrontation on Ajax's great bump runs and finish
smiling at the end of them.

These bumps will throw even the best
of skiers around.
